Dear God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I worship You in the wonder of Your triune oneness. I grope to understand the mystery of how three unique persons remain one God. I praise You for its truth and I bow before You in the wonder of such revelation of Yourself. By faith, I ask You to increase my capacity to appreciate and understand Your triune oneness that I might share new insights with others.
I also praise and worship You, Lord Jesus Christ, for the scope of Your finished work that unites me with You. I hold Your powerful name, Lord Jesus Christ, over my personal life, my family, my work and the whole body of Christ for benefit, protection and all that You have for us.
I rejoice that Your salvation has united me inseparably not only with Yourself but also with every other believer. Thank You, blessed Holy Spirit, for Your great work of baptizing me into this body of Christ. I rejoice to be a part of such perfect fellowship. thank You, Lord Jesus Christ, for continuing Your mighty work of readying Your body to present her to Yourself as a radiant church, without stain, wrinkle or blemish of any kind. Thank You that this body will be holy and blameless in the mystery of Your finished work. I glory in the wonder of such truth.
I enter into repentance and confession before You to acknowledge how often I personally have violated the essential oneness of the body. Cleanse me of my wickedness of not honoring each part of the body as You do. I also confess the sins of my family and fellow church members in not living out the unity of the body which You have created. I confess the divisiveness existing in Your visible church as a violation of Your holy plan. I worship and praise You, dear Heavenly Father, for Your sovereign ability to use even our divisiveness to glorify Your name and finish Your work.
Yet I long and pray for the bringing together of Your born-again ones in a united movement for revival awakening. We have been so terribly wounded by those things that have divided us. Our capacity to bring about change in our world has been reduced to a feeble squeak. In humble embarrassment I repent over this fact, and ask Your Holy Spirit to move over Your body to cause change. Help us to come together under the oneness of the Holy Spirit's control. May His oneness of intercession wait before heaven's throne of grace in the hearts of millions of believers who ask God for revolutionary revival.
Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ, for planning for unity rather than uniformity. The diversity of Your body is part of its beauty and functional appeal to the lost. It adds to Your glory. Bless Your church in its wide diversity of expression in patterns of worship and songs of praise. Help us to love one another in our diversity.
Help me not to condemn my fellow member for what he is not. Grant me the wisdom to understand and the capacity to appreciate him for what he is. Above all, help me to love each part of the body. May that love express itself in patience and the capacity to hold my thoughts in check when I see the failures of another member of Your body. Forgive me for my quick practice to take comfort about my own failures when I see the sins of others.
Blessed Heavenly Father, I recognize that Satan and his kingdom are relentless in their efforts keep believers divisive toward one another. As the accuser of the believers, he continually plants suspicions in believers' hearts. In the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, I pull down that work of darkness and bind our enemy that he might not succeed. I ask the Holy Spirit to supplant all divisive works with the unity of the Spirit actively working in believers.
Oh, Holy God, only Your sovereignty can move Your body into united action. May Your Holy Spirit brood over Your church and cause it to breathe out a united cry for revival awakening. I wait before You for this. Only You can work it out in a way that will startle the word and glorify Your name. Raise up the human leaders You can trust to touch not the glory that belongs only to You. I affirm again that what You have accomplished through the finished work of my Lord Jesus Christ is sufficient to do more than I ask. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
