Prayer Pattern For Revival Introduction part 1 of 8

Written prayers are not a help to everyone.  Some believers prefer to do their praying out of their own minds and hearts.  These written pattern prayers for revival are not meant to curtail spontaneous prayer.  Written prayers can be helpful when used correctly.  There are many written prayers recorded in God's Word that provide pattern and direction for our own praying.  Memorizing the prayers in the Psalms or other portions of the Word provides wonderful help as you pray them back to God out of your own heart.

These prayers are provided to help believers learn to pray doctrinal truth in their revival intercessions.  It is a good practice to write out your own prayers and keep them close so that you can pray them back to God during your shut-away times with the Lord.  Taking time to write down careful expressions of God's Truth greatly honors Him.

I do trust that prayer burden for revival will build in the body of Christ.  I urge each believer to set aside a daily time when a revival prayer focus is expressed.  These prayers may be reproduced for free distribution when the following credit is attached:

Ten Suggestions for Usage of Prayer Patterns for Revival:
  1. Pray a different prayer each day so that you cover all seven prayers each week.
  2. Use these prayers in family devotional times with each person participating by praying alternate paragraphs.
  3. During extended prayer for revival, plan to pray through all seven prayers as part of the time agenda.
  4. Distribute the prayers to the entire church body for private and family use.
  5. Organize weekly revival prayer groups where some of these prayers are a planned part of the prayer agenda.
  6. Carry these prayers in your purse of pocket for usage in opportune moments during each day.
  7. Keep with you extra Prayer Pattern booklets to share with Christian friends concerned for revival.
  8. Plan city-wide revival prayer focuses where these prayer patterns would stimulate believers to doctrinal revival prayer effort.
  9. Mail copies of these prayer patterns to Christian friends around your country and world.
